Annual Impact Event

Genista K. Park

This team plans and organizes our annual IAAP Impact event. The goal of this free event is to inform the community about the benefits of IAAP and to promote the organization as an important tool for administrative professionals.

Bylaws & Standing Rules

Debi Cain-Rivord CPS/CAP

The Bylaws & Standing Rules Committee maintains conformity in Chapter Bylaws & Standing Rules with the International Bylaws and Standing Rules and the Division Bylaws and Standing Rules. They may propose amendments and resolutions, edit/correlate all proposed amendments to the Bylaws & Standing Rules of this Chapter and submit them together with the Committee's recommendations and the reasons for the recommendations to the membership in accordance with these Bylaws. Submit Chapter Bylaws & Standing Rules and/or amendments thereto to the Division for approval as amended or at least every four years and assist the Board of Directors in preparing & submitting amendments and resolutions to the International and/or Division Bylaws & Standing Rules.

Certification

Jo Tynen CPS/CAP

The Certification Committee coordinates the Chapter certification study group and coordinates special recognition of all Chapter members who attain the CPS rating anytime during the IAAP year and assist with Mock CPS Exams and actual exams.

Community Service

Bonnie Marten CPS/CAP

The Community Service Committee would like to identify organizations within our community that we can support by donating our time, talents, household items, money, etc. Our committee would like suggestions from you, with any ideas or specific need that you know of or hear about.

Historian

Heather K. Kolstad

The chapter historian updates the chapter scrapbook with current photos and memorabilia from chapter events.

Hospitality & Registration

Debi Cain-Rivord CPS/CAP

The Hospitality Committee initiates and maintains the registration of meetings. They also investigate and present site recommendations to the Board of Directors for meetings to be held during the year. The Committee then works with the hotel to set up dinner meetings, including room set-up, menu selection, and guarantees. They are the on-site contact for hotel staff during meetings and may assign hosts for each meeting to act as greeters. They work with the Program Committee to determine specific needs/requirements of each meeting, the Publicity Committee to coordinate information regarding location, and the Board to approve costs, deadlines, etc. They also work with the Treasurer to coordinate payments and transfer of funds.

Membership

Genista K. Park, Patricia Romanko

The Membership Committee answers all requests for IAAP information packets to interested/prospective members and provides follow up with new members at 3, 6, and 12 months to ensure chapter is meeting their expectations as well as encourage/request their assistance on a committee/special committee, etc. The Membership Committee shall direct all activities of the Chapter concerned with the promotion, recruitment and retention of membership.

Newsletter

Vicki Orwick, Heather K. Kolstad

The Newsletter Committee works with with all chapter committees to gather information for monthly Newsletter. Establish deadlines/formats to ensure Newsletter is delivered to all members within two weeks prior to monthly meetings to allow adequate response time.

Nominating

Bonnie Marten CPS/CAP

The Nominating Committee submits to the members a slate of one or more candidates for each office at least thirty (30) days before the Annual Meeting.

Programs & Education

Kathy Hincher CPS, Joan Gatzmeyer CPS/CAP

The Education/Programs Committee sets up programs for each monthly meeting for Chapter year. Introduce speaker/ program at meetings. Determines/reports if the year will run along a theme. Presents all programs to the Board of Directors prior to submission to MetroLakes Council for publication.

Public Relations

Joan Gatzmeyer CPS/CAP

The Public Relations Committee is responsible for developing and coordinating methods to increase the Chapter's visibility to the public, employers, students, and others as a means of promoting membership. The PR Committee also assists the Program Committee in publicizing Chapter programs. This may include providing meeting information and press releases to local media such as newspapers, television, and radio as well as to local schools and colleges with office administration programs, and other initiatives as approved by the Board of Directors.

Retirement Trust Foundation

Shaun M. Freeburg CPS

This committee coordinates fundraising efforts and disceminating information for the IAAP Retirement Trust Foundation and the Vista Grande retirement community.

Sunshine

Gayle Petrie CPS

The Sunshine Committee sends notes and cards (for deaths, illness, good luck, great job well done, well wishes, birthdays, etc.) on behalf of the Chapter.

Ways & Means

The Ways and Means Committee shall devise and promote projects to further the objectives of the chapter. This committee shall be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising projects. The Ways & Means Committee provides different methods of obtaining money for the Chapter by way of drawings, boutiques, crafts, etc.

Website

Teri Kornberg CPS, James Rivord

The web site committee is responsible for the content and direction of the chapter web site.
